Vaccinations...CHECK!

Today myself and Leigh met up after work and went to our 7pm appointment at the Tropical Medical Bureau on Grafton Street ( http://www.tmb.ie/) and checked off the next item on our list. We got our vaccines (Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Tetanus and Diphtheria, Whooping Cough and Polio) and a prescription for Malaria tablets.
According to the doctor (who was such a lovely man... in fact all the staff there were super friendly and nice, we even got lollies!) Australia's grand, so they were all for our 24 day stop over in Thailand. The Malaria tablets we need only take if we go up north to Chang Mai, which we probably will.
As well as the jabs he also gave us some good tips such as avoiding fresh fruit as it will have been washed in tap water and can cause cholera, and to avoid animals as they can bite and pass on rabies. Rabies is fatal, so I guess I'm gonna have to chill out on my dog obsession and only admire from afar. Apparently girls get bitten when petting dogs and guys by standing on them "walking home after 2 or 3 beers"!

So today meant 2 things, no diseases for us and another thing checked off our list which means we're 1 step closer! 32 days left on the countdown.
